Universidad propone aumentar aranceles 7,1% a primer año el 2007
Como hemos informado a la Comunidad Universitaria mediante nuestra Página web, blog y en Consejo de Presidentes, la Universidad se encuentra en discusión de la política arancelaria para el año 2007. En dicha discusión los estudiantes hemos sido integrados en la lógica de informar (no de decisión conjunta), con el fin de traspasar dicha información a las bases estudiantiles. El conducto regular en lo que respecta a este tema tiene como instancia final de decisión al Consejo Superior, que es el espacio que define la política arancelaria.En la reunión de Comisión de Aranceles realizada el pasado Viernes 24 de Noviembre, en Casa Central de nuestra Universidad, fue presentada a los representantes estudiantiles en dicha Comisión la propuesta arancelaria de la Universidad para el año 2007. Ella estipula un aumento en los aranceles en torno al IPC (estimado en 3,0%) más un aumento real que fluctúa, según grupos de carrera, entre un 0,9% y un 8,4%, con un promedio de 4,1%. Así, el aumento nominal (sumado IPC y aumento real) mínimo sería de 3,9% en los aranceles primer año 2007, y el aumento nominal mayor sería de 11,4%.
Además de ello, la Universidad se comprometió a cubrir la brecha entre arancel de referencia y arancel real a los estudiantes que pertenezcan a los tres primeros quintiles de ingreso, además de destinar 2.000 millones de pesos al FSCU.
Respecto de la política arancelaria para cursos superiores el año 2007, la Universidad informó que dicha información se entregará en la Comisión de Aranceles el lunes 27 de Noviembre, aunque ha trascendido que el aumento a cursos superiotres estaría en un 2% real, es decir, un 5% nominal, lo que significa un pésimo precedente, puesto que existe un acuerdo firmado entre los estudiantes y la Universidad el año 2000, que estipula que no se subirían lso aranceles a cursos superiores por sobre el IPC de cada año, y porque históricamente el aumento a cursos superiores siempre ha estado en torno a ese indicador, no siendo mayor que eso.
